Tested in the Lab and at Home

Good Housekeeping's Kitchen Awards are run by the experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute, and this year's large appliance winners went through some of the most hands-on testing in the program. The Institute's Kitchen & Cooking Lab tested the ranges, cooktops, fridges, and water filters, teaming up with the Cleaning Lab and Home Improvement Lab for faucets, sinks, and dishwashers. Winners were installed and tested both in the Labs and in real homes, then judged on how well they performed and how easy they were to use day to day.

A Range of Possibilities

Good Housekeeping gave our range the label "A Range of Possibilities" and described it as "both sleek and highly functional."

The writeup walked through what makes it work: four induction burners from 7 to 12 inches, oversized knobs for easy control, and a large color touchscreen with oven modes including bake, air fry, and pizza. The pizza mode goes even further with three styles to choose from: wood-fired, New York, and pan. And the oven reaches 660°F.

In the Lab, the cooktop heated pans almost instantly and cooked evenly, and it handled the delicate work too, from holding a steady simmer to gently melting chocolate. The oven performed well across the board and especially stood out at broiling a juicy steak.

It was also the only 30-inch range among this year's range and cooktop winners.

Why 30 Inches Matters

Thirty inches is the standard range size in most American kitchens. That makes this range one of the easiest ways to make the switch from gas to induction: it fits the space you already have, without a remodel.

It's a big part of why we built the Luxury Series the way we did. Induction's instant, precise heat shouldn't be reserved for oversized pro ranges and custom kitchens. It should fit the kitchen most people actually cook in.
